Equipment

All-Temperature Cloak
A simple wrap-around cloak made of synthetic fabric to protect the wearer from the elements and hostile conditions.
Aquata Breather
Device allowing the user to breath for up to 2 hours through its mouthpiece. Aquata breathers can be employed underwater or in any hazardous conditions. Such breathers are more reliable than standard breath masks, consisting of a single unit rather than several linked systems. Aquata breathers can typcially be found in most reputable field kits.
Armor
Armor consists of a designed combination of plating, coatings, and weaves to protect the wearer from external threats during melee. Generally speaking, armor comes in Light, Medium, or Heavy. The more protection offered by the armor, the less mobility and capacity for stealth. Below are charts outlining how armor type effects Stealth, damage absorption, and die rolls to determine contact points during combat. Once a contact point on armor has been breached, it is considered ineffective and ceases to provide protection at that contact point.
Armor Type Damage Absorption Base Cost Stealth Impact
Light Armor 25 pts. 1,000 CR -5 to Stealth
Medium Armor 50 pts. 10,000 CR -10 to Stealth
Heavy Armor 100 pts. 100,000 CR -15 to Stealth

Unique and specific armors deviate from these general guidelines. Examples would be Mandalorian Armor or Stormtrooper Armor. More information on known armor types can be found here. Please confer with the GM for specific armor information.
Bacta Tank
A large cylindrical tank, specially designed, and filled with the power healing agent, bacta, to promote rapid healing. Both the tank and the bacta liquid are expensive, and can be found (typcially) only in hospitals, capital-class starships, or in military bases.
Breath Mask
A personal atmosphere-filtering system consisting of a mask that fits over the nose and mouth, with a hose connecting the mask to a portable life-supporting system. The breath mask provides approximately one hour of breathable atmosphere before the filter and atmosphere canister must be replaced. The breath mask offers no protection from extreme temperatures or hard vacuum.

Code Cylinder
A code cylinder is a common security device used by military officers, corporate executives, and politicians. It acts as a sophisticated keycard for secure areas. Each cylinder contains the user’s personal security clearance codes and data. (It is not uncommon for high-ranking personnel to own multiple code cylinders, each with their own encrypted access codes.) The devices, usually carried within a pocket or on one’s belt, use the same interface as a droid’s scomp link and can be reprogrammed. In situations where it is impossible for a slicer to be physically present and hack a security door, they sometimes elect to reprogram the cylinder instead. Cylinders are programmed with countermeasures such that a failed reprogramming causes the data to become irretrievably corrupted.
Comlink
A personal communications transceiver, the comlink consists of a received, a stransmitter, adn a power source. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from handheld, built into armor, and simple earpieces. The typical range for a comlink is 50 km or low orbit. For greater range, the comlink must be connected to a larger and/or more powerful energy source or communications relay station. Encryption routines can be added for a cost.
Computer
Computers are essential to the operation of virtually every element in Galactic society. They come in all shapes and sizes, with more powerful computers being larger than field-computers.
Credit Chip and Credit Stick
Credit chips, also known as credit sticks, are credits in a form of a small, flat chip or card issued by a planetary government which has values ranging from 1 to over a billion with a limit set by the issuing governmental authority. Currency is transferred to and from the chip by drawing upon account information from a central bank. These are issued on most Core and Colony worlds. They are very popular even though some planetary governments outside of the Core Worlds still rely upon hard currency. Because of the popularity and widespread use, few galactic citizens ever see actual cash as their income is directly deposited into their accounts. Credit chips have security codeouts and credit algorithm memory stripes integrated into their circuitry. Modifying a credit chip is possible though extremely difficult. And though it can be altered to access a different account than it was coded for, this is considered practically impossible. Because of common security countermeasures, a failed attempt to modify the chip activates an erasure program, invaliating the chip.
Datapad
A small hand-held personal computer that serves as a notepad and data input-display device. Datapads are capable of performing basic computer functions, and are often loaded with specific information related to their use: such as star charts, tourism guides, building schematics … ect. Datapads can be linked wirelessly to larger mainframes, and are able to access/download data from (and benefit from higher computational power with) the more powerful computers.
Demolition Kit
Electrobinoculars
A device to magnify distant objects in most lighted conditions. An internal display provides data on range, relative and true azimuths, and elevation. Observation options include zooming and wide-angle mode, with setting to detect radiation, night-vision, and EM field variance.
Energy Cell
A small, disc-like battery that provides power for devices, including certain types of weapons.
Field Comm
A portable communications system, capable of being transported by a single man. The system enables standard communications to terrestrial, sub-orbital, and (in some cases) orbital entities. The kit functions as a comm signal processing and power supply apparatus, and may be used to relay or boost signals from other sources. They can be encrypted to support “black wire” tactical comm and GhostWave capabilities. A character must be trained in the Comms skill to operate a Field Comm set.
Field Kit
Essentially, a backpack full of survival gear. Typcial kits contain two condensing canteens (with built-in water purification systems), a sunshield roll, a week’s worth of rations, two glow rods, two breath masks (and twenty-four filters), twelve atmosphere cannisters, and an camoflagued all-temperature cloak.
Field Moisture Evaporator
A cannister which expands to capture water during the night in arid climates. The device elongates to a 2 m tall tower with stabilizer pads, and stores electric energy during the day, and uses static charge to condense water moisture in the night air for drinking purposes. Water captured using a Field Evaporator is not potable, and needs to sterilized.
Gaming Devices
Any physical aritfacts necessary to play games for entertainment or gambling purposes. These include sabbac cards, dice … ect.
Glow Rod
A portable, single use illumination device that radiates light along its entire length. Rods are able to illuminate a 1000 sqm area, or project light 30 m.
Grappling Spike Launcher
Holoprojector
A handheld, personal hologram transmitter that can be used to view real-time or recorded three-dimensional images. The holoprojector comes with basic sound, and enhanced sound capabilities come as a premium. The information viewed via holoprojector can be routed and heard through a comlink system. With limited storage capacity, the viewing-recording time can be expanded with a linked holorecorder.
Holorecorder
A handheld, personal visual and audio recorder, the holorecorder can store data for playback as three-dimensional holograms. The device can store up to 200 hours of images in its internal memory system. Expanded memory options are available.
Illuminators
Flashlights, or devices to create artificial light focused in a beam to make dark areas visible. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from hand-held, to tactically mounted on weapons or headsets.
Liquid Cable Dispenser
Macrobinoculars
Medpac
A medpac (also spelled med-pack or medi-pack) was a small first aid kit that contained limited-utility diagnosis equipment and other essential medicines for the treatment of wounds. Medpacs could also be called health packs.A medpack usually contained diagnostics such as medisensors and also could provide flexclamps, synthflesh, irrigation bulbs, bacta, kolto, spray-bandages, bacta patches, spray hypos, bone stabilizers, antiseptics, medical drugs, coagulants, stimulants such as stim-shots, and other essential medicines for the treatment of wounds.

Security Kit
A security kit was a collection of tools and electronic components designed specifically for bypassing electronic and mechanical locks. Sensor devices were often included as part of the kit to aid in their use. These items were highly restricted on most worlds and possession was only permitted by those with proper permits, like members of law enforcement or professional security experts. Exceptional models contained a dedicated comlink to monitor frequencies typically used by silent alarms to warn the user of detection. Designed with portability and concealment in mind, most security kits weighed 1 kilogram.
